They were not real but I grew up with them. I jumped with joy in their happiness and cried in their sorrow. They taught me things that no university in the world ever could. They taught me not to judge people by just looking at them. They have taught me about deep human emotions and sentiments. They are Anime characters.

‘Anime’ is a term used for animation. Anime usually refers to Japanese style of motion-picture animation, characterized by highly stylized and colorful art, futuristic settings, violence and sexuality. The plots, settings, and the characters are amazing in anime. They inspire many people to be a good human beings, to pursue their dreams and to never give up.

In one anime called “Kuroko's Basketball” (known in Japan as Kuroko no Basuke), a player from a basketball team shoots a lot of three pointers and scores almost all of them. In this situation he says, "I shoot because I believe that every shot I make will result in three pointers. I shoot because I believe in my teammates. If I miss they will not let it go to waste.” This shows how believing in your teammates can increase one’s performance.

In one way or another, anime tells us to pursue our dreams. The characters in anime inspire people to live their dreams. “I’ve set myself to become the King of the Pirates…and if I die trying…then at least I tried!” This is said by Monkey D. Luffy from anime One Piece.

Work hard, try to be the best, pursue your dreams no matter what the world says and you will be a great person. This is what I learned from anime and I hope that others can also learn many things from anime. I suggest everyone to watch at least one anime.
