DWITians' Opinion About Leisure

By Aasha Poudel

We asked the second semester students at DWIT for their suggestions on how to best utilize the leisure time that they are having these days.

What do you think will be the best way to utilize the leisure time? What are your suggestions?

Firstly I’d like to say that it'd be fun if one of the students of the same class would present or teach other students on the subject, other students are weak on. On the other hand it'd more interactive if students would form a group and talk about the project and software they're going to develop by the completion of their studies.” – Rohit Bajimaya

I think college should run various training and workshop programs in these leisure time. We can enjoy our weekend to the fullest if done so.” – Ankit Karki

"I believe Computer Science is one of the broadest subject that exist, so a Computer Science student should not waste any free time he/she gets. For me, the best way to utilize leisure periods that we are getting would be by learning new programming languages so that it can increase our versatility in the field of programming." – Shreyansh Lodha

Best way to utilize leisure is by involving in other activities, learning new things, and make yourself busy, sometime spend time on your own. I don't know, I am always busy, these days I carry books and read them in those periods, I feel good.” – Abhishek Khatiwada

We could learn a new programming language or we could learn singing and playing musical instruments in one of the empty classrooms. We could start a novel. Maybe War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. We could even learn github together.” – Prakriti Shree Tuladhar

I spend the time doing assignments and learning some new courses. Even if I do that its harder to pass the time so I with my friends sometime do karaoke session just for fun so that we get refreshed. But leisure is boring somehow. I hope that classes will run normally from now on.” – Utkrista KC

I personally think that leisure time is a gift to discover yourself, doing the thing you love to do. Instead of being monotonous we can do creative things and excel our skills to new horizon as someone beautifully quoted 'The best intelligence test is what we do with our leisure'. Finally what can be better than coding, learning new programming languages, interacting with seniors and friends about ideas in leisure.” – Yashin Shekh
