No Load Shedding as Hidden Energy Being Used

By Saras Karanjit

Load shedding from major places of the capital valley has been eliminated for the time being as the "Hidden distribution" of the power supply have all been used for proportional supply.

The Executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority(NEA) Kulmaan Ghising said that this elimination has been possible after the supply has been 'organized.' He added, 'We have only made the power supply more proportional'. Speaking to The Annapurna Post, he said that this load shedding has decreased by simply supplying the energy equally from the pot.

NEA often published new load shedding schedules with slight changes in time but this time it was something different. General public were in a bit of a shock after they heard this news as this has been one problem they've been facing for a long time now. Kathmandu valley has been facing around nine hours of power cut off daily i.e. almost 63 hours of load shedding per week. It consumes it's maximum electricity during the evening with a demand of about 300 Mega Watts.

This ease of load shedding will be extending up to Kavre Palanchok, Panchkhal as the distribution system of these districts is connected. People from the valley have not been facing load shedding for a few days now.
