DWIT Social Service Club organized a special event for Christmas dedicated to the children of the orphanage. During the week of Christmas, Deerwalk Social Service club organized an event called ‘Secret Santa’. In the event, they had a special way of collecting the funds where they used the concept of Secret Santa. The members made gift hamper containing handmade greeting card, keyring, and some chocolates which an individual could gift to their loved ones anonymously. The gift also contained a message to the recipient from their ‘Secret Santa’. The price of the hamper was quite reasonable, all of which was collected for a good cause. The secret message for the beloved one was the most amazing part of the whole event. The messages surprised many people and brought a smile on their faces.  So many surprises were showered during Christmas week at Deerwalk complex all thanks to the Social Service Club. On December 25th, the day of Christmas the club visited an orphanage ‘Balmandir’ located at Gaushala, Kathmandu. The club used the funds collected from the Secret Santa event to present cake and gifts to the children in the orphanage. The club presented gifts to each and every child at the orphanage. The gift consisted of basic winter clothing. The children were very pleased to receive their gifts and the cake. In the end, the club members and children played balloon game. Everyone had a great time playing the game and the children loved the company.
